The final part of this autumnal makeup series is obviously not complete without a classic, dark autumn lip which although can seem a little difficult during a time of masks is also a lovely way of embracing your smile whenever you can these days. How to get the dark lip -look:
The Eyes
Because of the dramatic lips I wanted to keep everything else simple and fresh. Therefore, no crazy base makeup and a soft eyeshadow are essentials for achieving the perfect dark lip -look. So use your bronzer or contour shade for a soft definition on the eyes (first and second pictures) and then line your lash line with a light brown liner (the third picture). I am actually using my brow pencil as liner. Lastly, curl your lashes a little and add mascara if you like, however, you can go fabulously without it as well (the fourth picture).
The Lips
The lips are also super simple and pretty self-explanatory, especially, if your have a gorgeous dark lipstick in your collection. However, if you don't have a dark lipstick this is also what you can do; Lay a base using a lip pencil and a lipstick in order to add stickyness onto your lips so that eyeshadow sticks onto them (first and second pictures). Then choose shadow shades that you want to use and pat them onto your lips with your finger or a brush (third, fourth and fifth pictures). When you've got the shade you wanted clean up the mess around your mouth with concealer and a cotton stick (the sixth picture).
The Finished Look
The finished look is so sophisticated with an understated glamour and a pop of color that suits most autumn occassions. Especially, when pared with a matching beret and cosy knitwear wearing lipstick has never been so much fun and felt so new.
Is a dark lip your thing?
