Dearest reader,
Ever since I got my amazing vintage Vivienne Westwood bag from Vestiaire Collective I have been pondering how to style it with my wardrobe since its so colourful and might not suit everything I own. I was especially worried about wearing it with my other tartan items in the fear of looking a touch too much. However, I love tartan which is the reason I got the MacAndreas patterned bag, so I just vigured to put everything on and see if it works. And I am glad to report, ladies and gentlemen, that clashing tartan is now my new favorite thing!
Of course, Dame Vivienne knew it best because there is just something so classy yet contemporary yet historical about clashing tartan prints. You are always surprised how well different colours of each tartan go together and add to the seriously whimsical spirit of the pattern and style.
Outift Notes:
Blazer is made by me & my mom using clan Macleod's hunting tartan by Harris Tweed | Kilt is vintage | Bag is vintage Vivienne Westwood from Vestiaire Collective | Shirt is second hand | Sunglasses are vintage Vienna Line from Curated Second Hand | Earrings are vintage | Hat is from a small shop in Kuopio that doesn't exist anymore | Watch is Daniel Wellington
What about you, would you wear clashing tartan prints together?
Yours truly,
Siiri
