2010s are ending and within a month we welcome the new decade of 2020s to begin. But before that in this year's blogmas and in celebration of the new decade we are not going to even look at Christmas derocation, present ideas nor recepies but our favorite fashion eras in the previous century. What's more, to keep this Blogmas exciting we are not going to start from the beginning or end in the ending but go through some of the fashion decades in a totally random order. I am also turning "Posh blog" temporarily into a century defining "Posh magazine" that glances through times with a help of some fun cover shoots as well as outfits to remember. Are you ready to go through the decades with Posh?
POSH GOES TO THE 60S...
1960s
It is the 1960s. The era of The Beatles, hippies and youth culture changes societies forever making fashion more colorful, vibrant and shorter than ever before. Mary Quant gives women freedom in youthful mini skirts, hair grows more voluminous and makeup falls madly in love with eyes. Basicly, all attention is on simple geometric shapes, psychedelic colors and in the wild and free spirited individuals.
Fashion icons of the decade from Twiggy to Rolling Stones and Ossie Clark to Audrey Hepburn defined the era's unique style while reinventing what fashion can be. Therefore, rule books were thrown out of the window, gender lines were blurred and replaced with freedom to experience your own way of dressing up.
Posh traveled to the Swinging Sixties to discover how Twiggy's magazine shoots became so iconic and here's what happened...
